JOZIKIDS SPOILS JOZI'S PARENTS

“Parents need a resource which not only helps them to find what they need but also one that helps them to connect with each other. ” says Jozikids.co.za creator,Merle Dieterich.  This is  exactly what the newly designed Jozikids website is aiming to do.

At the click of a mouse, the stencilled t for twitter or f for facebook, or b for blog are coloured in with childlike crayon lines. There’s an origami plane flying in midair, also coloured in.  The long tail of the plane encircles a search window.

These are some of the features renowned lovejozi designer, Bradley Kirshenbaum, has created in his redesign of Jozikids.co.za, a web based parenting resource tool to help parents find what they need all over Joburg and Gauteng for their kids and families. The original site focussed mainly on extending the constantly growing directory and daily events calendar.

The new website to be launched on October 1st,  uses social networking tools extensively. “We have created  a space on our homepage with links to articles on our blog by parents for parents, to our facebook page with views on issues ranging from holiday destinations to teen pageants and to our twitter page for daily tweets about events.” says Dieterich.

Visitors to the site are also invited to write reviews,  print out deal vouchers and enjoy free advertising for a month, if they have a child- friendly product on offer.

Drawing from the original Jozikids look, Lovejozi designer, Bradley Kirschenbaum, has created a fresh, playful and user- friendly new look on this over 3000 page  parent resource with its extensive list of services, venues, activities and daily events.

In addition, the launch coincides with a new partnership. Talk Radio 702  will co-sponsor a free weekly newsletter focussing on events and interesting new articles for parents.

So if you haven’t discovered it yet, its time to visit jozikids.co.za
